RED HAT SWAP MEET/BUNKO/PIZZA PARTY - January 21 - 12:30 to 4 p.m. Woodbridge Senior Center, on Church Hill
Road, just one block off the Prince William Parkway (near it's intersection with US-1) Is your house overflowing with
hats, lots of purple clothing that you've tired of, door prizes that you can't re-gift? We have the answer! Babes
of Adventure and Scarlet Sophisticates Chapters of Red Hats are teaming up for a Red Hat Swap Meet (Nothing to swap or sell?
Then you can be a BUYER!). We're making an afternoon of it and having a Pizza Party and BUNKO too! You've
gotta clean house after the holidays anyway, why not clean out your closets and drawers - Red Hat clothing and paraphernalia
only, please. All items must be labeled with seller's name and suggested price - bargaining for prices is encouraged.
(Sellers must provide own change fund. No central fund will be available. Sellers will remove all unsold items
immediately after the meet.) Set this date, and your junque aside. Cost $15.00. (Lunch & gratuity plus door

BIG 50'S BASH (60'S TOO!) - April 1, 2006 The Queen Mums of several Northern Virginia and Maryland chapters (Babes of Adventure,
Cackling Crows, Glitz & Glitter, Partea Dolls, Scarlet Sophisticates, Sweethearts of Bethesda, T.E.A., & Wild Women
of Waldorf) are hosting a HUGE 50's RETRO PARTY on April 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the spacious VFW
center on Minnieville Road in Dale City. Dress in your poodle skirt, car hop outfit, or pretend you're a guy with
chinos, rolled up shirt sleeves with cigs tucked in, and a duck tail hairdo. Heck, even wear your Elvis costume!
Regular, spectacular Red Hat wear is OK too! Vendors, Antique Cars and a professional Photographer (for group or individual
pictures- separate cost) will be available. Cost is $41 per person (non-refundable) and includes lunch & gratuity,
entertainment, audience participation games, and door prizes. Deadline for registration is January 15, 2006.AugustAugust
19-20, ’06 - Red Hat Get-away. Motor coach from Woodbridge, VA to Harrisburg, PA August 19th AM –
shopping at Broad Street Market followed by Ice Cream Social cruise aboard the riverboat "Pride of the Sesquehanna". Then
settle at the hotel before going to the "Allenberry Dinner Theatre" to eat and see a comedy. August 20th – Breakfast
on your own at the hotel. Then off we go to the PA Renaissance Faire (the biggest & best Faire on the East Coast) before
returning to Woodbridge in the late afternoon. Cost range is approximately $195.00 (includes quadruple hotel room) to approximately
$275.00 (includes single hotel room). Feel free to wear costume to the Renaissance Faire, the rest of the time wear Red Hat
attire. This event is sponsored by The Cackling Crows. Registration form and details will be sent separately in February.

DUES for TEABELLS;Starting in 2006 we will be charging $5.00 per year to be a member of the TEABELLS. This
cost will help pay for the TEAbells registration, door prizes, cards that are sent out.

if we DO NOT have your money by then you will no longer be a TEABell member, and will not longer received our newsletter or
invite to our events/functions.

spoon upside down and place it over your teacup?

2006 each month I will feature a: "tea recipe"
TEA Slippers 1 cup sugar, 1 cup strong hot tea, 1/3 cup lemon juice, ¾ cup orange juice, 2 cups ale, 2 cups of soda
and orange slices. In a 1 quart container, dissolve sugar in tea. Stir in juices. To serve, pour into punch bowl over ice.
Mix in ginger ale and club soda. Garnish with orange slices. YIELD; 10 servings. I will be serving this at bunko in January.Traditional
English Teas:
Cream Tea, High Tea, Afternoon Tea, Victorian Tea, Farmhouse or Kitchen Tea, Nursery Tea, Tea for Two and Picnic
Tea.
